Three Years of Conflict 242 Kilometres for Syrian Refugees

A team of ten CARE aid workers and Syrian refugees will run the 242 kilometre “Dead 2 Red” marathon in Jordan to raise awareness and funds for the plight of more than ten million people in desperate need of humanitarian assistance. The marathon will take place on March 13th. Exactly three years have passed since the beginning of the conflict in Syria.

 

MALI new food crisis looming in northern part

Bamako, Mali. More than 800,000 people need immediate food assistance, and across the country three million people are at risk of not finding enough to eat, according to the result of the December 2013 Harmonized Framework which convenes non-governmental organizations (NGOs), governments, and United Nations agencies working on food security in the Sahel . More than half of these people are living in northern Mali.
