The South and East Darfur Emergency Assistance Project ran from 2017-2018 with $1.2 million in funding by the US Government’s Office of Foreign and Disaster Assistance (OFDA). It reached 309,981 people. The project is continuing through 2019 for a new phase of funding.

The Peri Urban Community Driven Models for Equitable Services (COMEQS) Solid Waste Project ran from 2014-2018 in two peri-urban settlements of Lusaka District (Chipata and Ng’ombe). The project received $1.5 million in support from UKAID and Comic Relief, and reached 304,010 people.

From failed rains that have led to the loss of water for drinking and farming to swarms of locusts that decimated farms and pastures, millions of people have been left hungry and thirsty. Thousands more have been displaced from their homes as they search for food and water for sustenance.

The Masvingo El Niño Recovery project ran in Zimbabwe from 2017-2018, with $2.9 million in support from USAID’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA). It reached more than 32,000 people directly.

The Epidemic Control and Reinforcement of Health Services (ECRHS) Program operated in Sierra Leone from 2015 to 2018 with $11.6 million in support from Germany’s Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW).

Yemen’s Emergency Assistance for Vulnerable and Conflict-Affected Communities ran from 2017-2018 with $10 million from USAID’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance. It reached 242,000 people directly, and 128,000 indirectly.

The USAID WASH and Nutrition Project ran from 2013-2019 with $14.8 million from USAID in Mali. The project reached 878,128 people directly and 2.3 million indirectly.
