After an escalation of violence in Myanmar more than 436,000 people have fled to Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh as of 24 Sept (Source: ISCG Report 24 Sept). They are in desperate need of humanitarian assistance (shelter, food, clean water, sanitation and health services).
More than 1,000 children have arrived in Bangladesh without either of their parents. CARE’s rapid assessment in Balukhali Camp indicates that more than half of all new arrivals are living in the open or under basic and fragile shelters, often made out of sticks and plastic bags.
