CARE and the SDGs

This report details CARE's contributions towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from 2015 to 2024. Working with partners, CARE has positively impacted 210 million people across 86 countries, addressing various global challenges.

Key achievements include:

  1. Food Security: 28.5 million people in 60 countries improved food security, nutrition, or sustainable agriculture.
  2. Sexual and Reproductive Health: 65.8 million women in 55 countries exercised their right to sexual and reproductive health.
  3. Education: 6.5 million children in 38 countries accessed better quality or more inclusive education.
  4. Humanitarian Assistance: 91.8 million people in 66 countries received quality humanitarian aid or improved access to basic services.
  5. Economic Empowerment: 23.1 million people in 67 countries gained access to dignified work, with 17.7 million joining community savings groups.
  6. Gender Equality: 19.4 million women and girls in 76 countries experienced increased empowerment and gender equality.
  7. Climate Resilience: 10.2 million people in 41 countries built climate resilience or reduced vulnerabilities.

These impacts are the result of collaborative efforts with various stakeholders, including civil society, governments, and the private sector.
