The Humanitarian Access Snapshot #8 provides an overview of the massive challenges to deliver aid in Gaza from 13 November to December 10, 2024. Without adequate humanitarian assistance, Gaza has become “unfit for human survival,” as Joyce Msuya, the acting UN Under Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs told the UN Security Council in November.
The report shows only 65 trucks per day enter the Strip compared to 500 previously - a number already insufficient to cover needs before the current war.
The report also details attacks on aid workers, looting, and forced displacement of NGO staff, hampering the ability to deliver life-saving assistance. It calls for immediate action by the international community to pressure Israel to lift restrictions and ensure safe, unimpeded access to humanitarian aid.
